Community Update (March
2007)
The Community Update Bulletin contains links to items of interest
which I believe may be of use/interest to many of you.
Previous items can be accessed by clicking on the archive link to the left.
March 2007 issue, has been produced not just by myself but in collaboration
with my colleagues and I'm sure you'll agree that Anna, Christine,
Muhaj & Raja have done a great job - thanks!!
I would also like to thank colleagues at the Community Network (NGCN) and Nottingham CVS who provide the administrative support that actually gets the Bulletin to you through the post - thank you all.
Thank you as well to those of you that have been in touch in the past to say that the information in the Bulletin has been of real help to you and to those that have recommended it to colleagues, who in turn have asked to go on the mailing list.
Along with many of you we also monitor our services and delivery and we'd really appreciate feedback around our Bulletin, so please either e-mail me or write in to the office to let us know if you like the format and/or how we can make the Bulletin even better and more useful to you.
Best wishes and happy reading!

Nottinghamshire Black Partnership and its partner/affiliated
organizations have been involved in consulting with the community
on various issues. We have tried to include consultation documents
and future proposed consultations on this site.
If you yourself are a BME voluntary/community organisation,
and have a consultation document, or are looking to host a consultation
with the BME communities and would like to post it on this website,
please contact; Salome - 0115 979 1234

Consultations are a key element for shaping policy by providing
documented evidence of community needs and recommendations. These
can be presented as a collated voice for the community to enable
meaningful changes in the way that services are delivered. Having
knowledge of what consultations are available can also help in drawing
down funding to build on the key elements of need that have been
outlined.
