NBP has been able to influence NRF spend on the following project, to be delivered through community organisations. We are looking to develop further partnerships and delivery mechanisms as and when the opportunities arise.

Project Pro-Active

This project, which will cost around £150,000, aims to address the educational underachievement and attainment for the Pakistani Community in Nottingham.

It is hoped that the project will address the needs of the Pakistani young people, in particular those who are at risk or are going to be excluded, and the youth who are underachieving.

This proposal has been developed by Nottinghamshire Black Partnership in consultation with the Pakistan Centre, who commissioned their own research into educational needs of Pakistani’s and identified ways to tackle this problem.
