Exciting opportunity to maintain and develop the facilities available in our large Community Centre. If you take pride in your work, pay attention to detail and thrive in a busy environment then this could be the opportunity you are looking for. You will supervise a full-time cleaner/support worker and together you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the building facilities, whilst ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the hiring out of the building offers value for money and exceeds customer expectations.

Finance Officer
Salary: £15,459 - £16,137 (pro rata) per annum
Hrs of Work: 30hours worked over 4 or 5 days

This post offers an excellent prospect for the right person. If you enjoy working with figures and have financial experience this could be the job for you. Working in a large charity with a turnover in excess of £500k, you will ensure the effective, efficient and economic use of all finance resources. You will maintain and develop relevant reporting systems appropriate to the needs of the Chief Officers, and specifically support the Chief Officer (Business) with a variety of financial tasks including costing, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.

Surtal Asian Arts is seeking an arts administrator who can assist our Artistic Director in co-ordinating Asian arts activities in Derby. We are looking for an individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience of using Microsoft Office package and have the ability to work on their own initiative.

Duties will include dealing with correspondence and enquiries, keeping financial records, updating website, taking minutes at meeting, co-ordinating events, visiting projects in schools and in the community and collecting monitoring information, general office administration as well as assisting the Director with marketing and publicity and coordinating of events.

Good understanding of the local Asian communities is essential. Ability to speak and understand in one or more South Asian languages (Hindi, Punjabi or Urdu) would be an advantage but not essential. Hours to be negotiated as some evening work is involved.
