Community Updates - archives
NBP has been able to influence NRF spend on
the following project, to be delivered through community organisations.
We are looking to develop further partnerships and delivery mechanisms
as and when the opportunities arise.
The ISIS Project
The Isis Project is a citywide ‘virtual’ team of Connexion’s
Community and BME specialist Personal Advisors. The intention behind
this team is to provide one mechanism that can be used to improve
and secure better outcome for young people from Black and Minority
Ethnic Backgrounds; namely a Citywide ‘Virtual’ Team
of Connexion’s Community and BME Specialist Personal Advisers.
The Team will provide a range of targeted services, specifically
but not exclusively for young people (13 - 19 year olds), from BME
backgrounds. The PA's will deliver the majority of their work from
and/in community settings, but have office facilities at the Connexions
Centre so that they will be able to regularly update ‘Insight’
– Connexion Management Information system.
The project will cost around £700,000. It is envisaged that
the costs will be met jointly by Connexions, New Deal for Communities
and Neighbourhood Renewal Funding.
